Here, you can ask questions about what’s in something or how an animal was raised. The products are made with clean, natural ingredients, and you get to know the woman behind it all.

The animals are part of everyday life here. The chickens are outside on grass with room to scratch and move, and they’re fed non GMO feed. The cows are loved, talked to, scratched on, and cared for every single day. The eggs come from hens that sing with joy every time they lay and get plenty of delicious scraps. From feeding and watering to moving chickens onto fresh grass, I’m the one out there doing it.

Coming to Broken Picker Farm usually turns into more than picking up milk, chicken, sourdough, eggs, or tallow.

We stand around and talk. We talk about food, family, what we’re learning, and whatever life looks like that day. Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes we encourage each other. And sometimes we pray together.

That part of this farm means just as much to me.

Broken Picker Farm has a story too.

This farm was born during a season of brokenness, feeling lost, and wondering what God was doing.

I’m still walking through parts of that season. But even in the middle of it, God has been faithful. He’s been writing a story I never could have planned, one step at a time.

Little by little, I started paying more attention to our food, what was in the products we used, and where things came from. I started making more myself and raising more of our own food.

And God took that little by little and turned it into this farm.

Broken Picker Farm is a reminder to me that God can bring something beautiful from broken places.
