Homemade Salted Caramel Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

Fall is in the air! Well, the hope of it is, at least. We are all ready for cooler days and have been dreaming of pumpkin spice.

I enjoy getting a drink from the coffee shop, but this girl loves coffee way too much to do that every day! Plus, I love knowing exactly what is going into my coffee.

So, I made a delicious Salted Caramel Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer, and I'm sharing the recipe for you to enjoy at home, too!

It's made with real pumpkin, warm spices, brown sugar, and fresh milk. The brown sugar gives it that rich caramel flavor, while the pumpkin and spices bring in all those wonderful fall flavors

Homemade Salted Caramel Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup water

  • 1¾ cups whole milk

  • 3 tablespoons pumpkin purée

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg

  • ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger

  • A tiny pinch of ground cloves

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Make the caramel base.

In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar and water. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture begins to thicken slightly.

2. Add the pumpkin.

Whisk the pumpkin purée into the warm brown sugar mixture until smooth.

3. Add the milk and spices.

Slowly pour in the whole milk, stirring continuously.

Add the vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and salt.

Continue warming over low heat, stirring until everything is combined. Do not allow the mixture to boil.

4. Cool and store.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the creamer to cool slightly.

Pour into a clean glass jar and refrigerate promptly.

Keep refrigerated. Store up to a week.

Give the jar a good shake before using, as the pumpkin and spices may settle.

Enjoy!

Add to your morning coffee and enjoy a little taste of fall right at home.
